The team said “the video today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”Hunt was at the Chiefs’ facility Friday in preparation for Sunday’s trip to Oakland, but he was excused and sent home shortly after TMZ posted the video online. It shows Hunt being restrained several times by friends before pushing a woman to the ground, where he proceeds to kick her.Police were called to the scene during the Feb. 10 incident, no charges were filed. The police did not respond to several requests for comment Friday night.“Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt. At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue,” the Chiefs said. “As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions.”The Chiefs and the NFL have been aware of Hunt’s incident since it occurred, but much like the case involving former Ravens running back Ray Rice, the video brought a new dimension to the case. It showed Hunt lunging toward a woman and several others in the hotel hallway, and the second-year pro being restrained several times before knocking two people down.While no charges were filed from the altercation, two police reports were created. Hunt is listed as the suspect in one of them and a woman, Abigail Ottinger, is the suspect in the other one.Hunt also was involved in a June incident, according to TMZ, in which he allegedly punched a man at an Ohio resort. The man Hunt struck declined to press charges.“I want to apologize for my actions. I deeply regret what I did,” Hunt said in a statement issued to several outlets shortly after he was released. “I hope to move on from this.”When asked about the incidents in training camp, Hunt said “I’ve learned from it.” When asked to elaborate on what he learned, he replied: “Just be in the right place at the right time.”Hunt led the NFL in rushing as a rookie with 1 Womens Kendall Fuller Jersey ,327 yards and eight touchdowns in helping Kansas City make the playoffs. Rice was originally suspended two games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who later was heavily criticized for such a light penalty after the video was released.Rice soon after was suspended indefinitely by the league. He won an appeal but was released by the Ravens, and the three-time Pro Bowl running back never returned to the NFL.Last year, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was suspended for six games by Goodell after the league concluded after a yearlong investigation that he had several physical confrontations in the summer of 2016 with his girlfriend at the time.The league has implemented a stronger domestic violence policy, but incidents have continued to make news. If I had to put money on it, I do not believe Coach Lynn will have to change much at all with Ekeler as his starting back. If there is anything to take away from the Titans game in London Isaac Rochell Color Rush Jersey , it’s that Ekeler wasn’t able to flourish in a prominent role and like much of us expected.Ekeler is more than capable of doing everything that Gordon can. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the coaching staff give rookies Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome a good amount of carries while still utilizing Ekeler around the formation. That’s why he was taking PEDs and a masking agent. How is this dubious request and his outrage an act of contrition for the damage he is causing the Cardinals and the transition of a new coaching staff?What Gambo went on to claim was that Peterson does not want to add years to his existing contract because he wants to be the the headliner of 2021 free agent market. So---Peterson’s plea for Steve Keim to restructure his existing contract so that Peterson didn’t have to bear the onus of a financial loss----was not even a quid pro quo.This is how divas behave. When they act out or screw up, they still expect special treatment. After all, the diva is the star and the company should drop to their knees in reverent and obsequious compliance.Peterson apologized to the Cardinals, the coaches and his teammates---yet---he explained why he won’t be around until mandatory mini camp. He needs to take his daughter to and from school, which, however, is never an issue for millions of Americans who drop their kids off at school and drive to work afterward. The voluntary OTA commitment to go work out with his teammates is a mere 3-4 hours a day.Here’s the gist---if Peterson’s apology to the Cardinals, the coaches and his teammates was sincere, then he would get his butt over to the OTAs and be a loyal player and teammate. They are there doing the work, while he is not.But, again, this is what divas do---they do things on their terms. They act like they are loyal to the team---but inevitably they are most loyal to their own desires. Peterson said that things between him and the Cardinals “are great” and that he talked to Steve Keim recently. The reality is that to be one of the best DBs in the NFL, you can’t just be a great man-to-man cover guy, you also have to be great in the ‘help” role on defense---because all team sport defenses are predicated on players moving quickly into help positions when plays break down. As a DB Stitched Josh Bynes Jersey , the help responsibilities are tied to swarming to the ball, forcing the run, making tackles all over the field and chasing ball carriers down from the sides and from behind. When Peterson describes himself as the best DB in the NFL, he is using a masking agent to disguise the fact that he is not very much of a team player---he is a stick to his man---and let the team do the rest---kind of player.Because he’s the star, he believes he’s entitled to do that.
