TORONTO -- R. Hydro Flask Barn .A. Dickey won his third consecutive decision on Tuesday but he is still frustrated with his inability to get through the seventh inning. "I get a good 18 hours to beat myself up and then its time to turn the page and enjoy that we won the game," Dickey said after he failed to retire any of his four batters in a three-run seventh inning by the Cleveland Indians. "I do have an expectation of myself thats better than what Im producing." With Juan Francisco and Adam Lind each driving in two runs and left fielder Melky Cabrera throwing out a runner at the plate to end the eighth inning, the Blue Jays defeated the Indians 5-4. Dickey (4-3) allowed five hits, two walks, one hit batsman and four runs-- two earned-- in six-plus innings. "The good news is I feel like Im pounding the zone and pitching to contact and I had a great knuckleball," Dickey said. "But I am not making it easy on myself or my team in those later innings. "Quite frankly, I feel a little bit embarrassed that I havent been able to get through seventh innings with some of the stuff that Ive hadaI had some really good change-ups tonight and had a swing and miss knuckleball and was pounding the zone and on a different night I might have been able to go seven or eight." He has pitched seven innings once this season, a loss to the Houston Astros on April 10. Cleveland right-hander Justin Masterson (2-2) allowed six hits-- including Franciscos homer that snapped a 1-1 tie in the fifth-- three walks and five runs in 5 1/3 innings. "First time through the order he went through them really well," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "He got a couple of balls up that they stayed on pretty well. We just couldnt get one big hit." The victory in the opener of the three-game series against the Indians (18-21) gave the Blue Jays (20-20) their second win in a row after dropping three straight to the Los Angeles Angels. The Indians appeared to be set to take Masterson off the hook for the loss and take the win away from Dickey with two out in the top of the eighth inning. But Cabrera cut down the potential tying run with his throw home. Clevelands Carlos Santana, who led off the inning with a single against left-hander Brett Cecil and took second on a passed ball, was out at the plate after Yan Gomes lined a single to left. "That was just heroic, thats what that was," Dickey said. "It saved the game." "It was possibly the game right there," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "They come back and tie it you never know whats going to happen." Casey Janssen pitched the ninth for his first save of the season in his second appearance after coming off the disabled list where he was placed Mar. 29 with a back problem. "Hes reliable," Gibbons said. "Its good to have him back." Cleveland took a 1-0 lead in the third on a single to right by Nick Swisher. Jose Bautista made a tumbling attempt at a catch on the sinking drive that scored Mike Aviles, who singled with two out and took second on a walk to Michael Bourn. The Blue Jays tied the game in the fourth on a triple to left-centre by Jose Reyes and a sacrifice fly to the warning track in centre by Cabrera. Francisco hit a 1-0 sinker to right centre for his sixth homer of the season with one out in the fifth to give the Blue Jays a 2-1 lead. Francisco started at third base to get his left-handed bat into the lineup against Masterson and Brett Lawrie started at second base. The Blue Jays added three runs in the sixth, two on a slicing double by Lind to left centre that scored Cabrera, who led off with a walk, and Bautista, who had an infield single. Francisco doubled down the right-field line to score Lind. Masterson was pulled for left-hander Josh Outman after Lawrie walked. The Indians answered with three runs in the seventh after Dickey faced four batters without an out. "It seemed like the wheels were falling off but overall in the game he was tremendous," Toronto catcher Josh Thole said. Asdrubal Cabrera singled, David Murphy reached first on Lawries error on his sharp groundball, Gomes walked and Lonnie Chisenhall was hit by a pitch to force in a run. Left-hander Aaron Loup allowed a one-out single by Bourn and a sacrifice fly by Swisher to cut the lead to one. The Whitecaps confirmed in a news release Thursday that they have traded Reo-Coker, a 30-year-old former English Premier League star who was in his second season with the team, to Chivas U.S.A. for fellow midfielder Mauro Rosales. The announcement came after Robinson said following a practice that the Whitecaps might move Reo-Coker. "We are excited to welcome (Rosales) to our club and Vancouver," said Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson in the news release. "If you look at Mauros history, hes constantly creating goals. Hes experienced, bright, and has a super football brain. His delivery on crosses is fantastic, and I know hes a good guy. Thats important in this locker-room. "Were very pleased to add a player of Mauros calibre as we make our push for the playoffs." Rosales will train with the Caps on Friday in Carson, Calif., in preparation for a game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, when he will be eligible for selection. He did not have to travel to join his new team, because Chivas also plays out of Carson, a Los Angeles suburb. This marks the second consecutive weekend that the Whitecaps play in Carson after they visited Chivas in their previous game. Rosales, a 33-year-old Villa Maria, Argentina native, has recorded the second-most assists (42) in MLS since 2011. He has started 16 of his 21 appearances for Chivas this season, posting eight assists -- good for third place in the league this season. From 2011 to 2013, he played three seasons with the Seattle Sounders, scoring 12 goals and recording 34 assists in 86 regular-season matches. He was named MLS Newcomer of the Year in 2011. Prior to moving to North America, Rosales played for Argentina powerhouses Club Atletico River Plate (2007-10) and Newells Old Boys (1999-2004), as well as top-flight Dutch side AFC Ajax (2004-07). Internationally, Rosales was a part of Argentinas U-20 national team that won the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship and the U-23 side that won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Reo-Coker has played sparingly this season, his second in MLS, following a freak off-field injury and inconsistency that saw him lose his spot in the starting 11. Primarily a midfielder, he has most recently been spotted in midfield and at right back, filling in for defender Steven Beitashour whhile he was away representing Iran at the World Cup. Reo-Coker, a London native who had spent his entire career previously in England, joined the Whitecaps amidst considerable fanfare in February 2013 after Vancouver sent a pair of draft picks to the Portland Timbers in exchange for the right of first refusal to sign him. Reo-Coker has played 12 games this season, starting eight, and recorded a goal and two assists. His minutes were way down this season from 2013, when he played in 32 of the clubs 34 regular-season games, starting 31. He has appeared in more than 200 EPL matches and last played for English Championship side Ipswich Town on a three-month stint. During four seasons at Aston Villa from 2007 to 2011, he made 102 appearances and scored two goals. He also helped West Ham United reach the 2006 FA Cup final against Liverpool only to lose on penalty kicks. After starting as a 12-year-old in Wimbledons system, he toiled for Englands under-21 national team, serving as captain during the 2007 UEFA U-21 Championship. He has also played for Englands under-20 squad and served as a standby player for its 2006 World Cup side. He has captained EPL squads West Ham United FC, Aston Villa, and Bolton Wanderers and also worn the arm band for Wimbledon. According to the MLS Players Union, Reo-Coker is earning $446,500 this season. His departure from Vancouver has been expected for weeks as his role diminished. The Whitecaps have struggled to score goals while utilizing young players in offensive roles since former Scottish international Kenny Miller left the club by mutual consent in the spring. Observers have opined that Reo-Cokers departure could free up salary room for an experienced scorer. The acquisition of Rosales, who is earning $450,000 this season, came after the Whitecaps elected not to sign a proven veteran scorer during the international transfer window that closed earlier this month. "Ive known (Reo-Coker) for a number of years and consider him a friend," said Robinson in the news release. "We are thankful to (him) for everything hes done for the club.
